Biography
Jeffrey Davis is currently an independent consultant since February 2023 when he started his accounting and bookkeeping service. Prior to this, Jeff was the Vice President of Finance & Accounting and Director of Finance & Accounting at two mid-sized companies in the past 3 years. Jeff has a long tenure with Waste Management, a Fortune 250 Company as a Corporate Senior Director of Revenue Sales & Price Management - Planning & Strategy (1/2014 - 11/2021) and served as the Corporate Director of Price Analysis & Strategy (1/2007 - 1/2014). Previously, he held the position of Senior Manager of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (4/2008 - 12/2013). Prior to reporting to Wate Management’s Corporate Office, Jeff has 10 years of finance and accounting experience primarily as the TX/ OK Area Financial Controller with revenue of $600M consisting of 40 business units that consisted of hauling, landfill, transfer station and MRF operations that included 10 direct reports and 5 controllers reporting to him.
Jeff is a Texas CPA licensed professional since 2008. These responsibilities have included financial presentation and insights, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow analysis, financial budgeting, forecasts and project & IT accounting and lastly, acquisition pre and post review including proforma responsibility. He has a strong working experience and interactions with high level of leadership and team management in back-office accounting and HR/Payroll functions working with senior leadership, policy & process creation & adherence representing the finance and accounting role with 3rd party audit, SOX entities and tax professionals.
